Where is The Railroad Ranch?
On the South Side of Youngstown, Ohio, in the historic Handel's neighborhood. The original Handel's ice cream stand is a short walk away and Mill Creek MetroParks is minutes away. Boardman shopping is about 5 minutes, downtown Youngstown and the Covelli Centre about 7, Youngstown State University about 10 and the Canfield Fairgrounds about 15.
How many guests can stay?
Station Two sleeps 5 in two bedrooms. Station Three sleeps 6 in three bedrooms. Station Five, both homes together, sleeps up to 14 in five bedrooms.
Which station is best for a large group?
Station Five. It joins Station Two and Station Three through one connecting door, so your group gets five bedrooms, seven beds, two kitchens, two living rooms and two full baths. The rate includes 9 guests; each guest after that is $50 a night, up to 14.
If we book Station Two, do we share space with Station Three?
No. Each station is a complete private home with its own entrance, kitchen, bathroom and parking, and the connecting door stays locked unless you book Station Five. The two homes share a laundry room, and the kitchen door to it locks for privacy.
Are pets allowed?
Yes. Pets are welcome at every station when they're on the reservation, and they should be crated when left alone.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is 4 PM and check-out is 10 AM. Your private door code goes live at 4 PM, and checking out takes one button press.
Is there parking and EV charging?
Yes. Each station has free covered parking for two standard vehicles (F-150 size and smaller), and there's a Level 2 EV charger on site. Larger and commercial vehicles use a nearby overflow lot for $25 a night.
Are there stairs?
No. Every station is on one level. A wheelchair is available for $25 per stay; just ask before you arrive.
Are there cameras inside?
No. Exterior cameras cover the parking area and front doors. Noise sensors measure sound levels only and never record audio.
Is it good for remote work?
Yes. Every station has fast Wi-Fi and a workspace, and Station Three adds an Ethernet connection.
How do I book direct?
Choose a station, pick your dates in its booking calendar and pay securely. Before you arrive we ask for an ID check, a rental agreement and a refundable $300 hold.
